National Western Stock Show
Now that the NWSS is in the history books and with us returning back to NE on 1/28/08, we have a long list of great memories.  What an exciting time we had in Denver for the 16 day show.  This was the second largest attendance for the stock show in it's 102 year history.  On Saturday, 1/19/08, over 68,300 attendees walked through their doors.  Literally, people from across the globe came to partake and or just take in the show.  The weather was perfect for most every day in comparison to 2007 when they trudged through 5 snow storms.  We enjoyed seeing such a large variety of livestock.  Not only were there the usual cattle, pigs, and horses, but within each of those species were additional kinds such at mini-Herefords.  How interesting to see these cute, shrunk, perfectly groomed little cattle.  Super Dogs, a dog show, was a huge hit with the public too.  Talent from the handlers to the stock was the standard on all levels.  And of course what stock show would be complete without "rodeo"!  I stopped counting at 12 performances.

Working The Big Bale Box booth each day for that 11 or 12 hour shift proved to be very demanding.  With the help of my two sisters, we were able to give all who stopped by that up close and personal hands on demonstration of it's function.  With out exception, the response was overwhelmingly positive!  The comments ranged from, clever, terrific, wish I had thought of this great idea, needed, incredible, simple, wonderful, thanks for coming, you will be hearing from us real soon, so and so needs this, please come to our show, can we become distributors, when can we get one, and the list goes on.  We so enjoyed talking with folks hearing their stories from hay waste frustration to how many options we could add to the unit.  We know we branded the name-The Big Bale Box-and gave folks another avenue to efficiently feed their hay.   Everyone was in agreement that with the high hay prices, we have to stop wasting hay.  We made many new friends with our exhibitor neighbors.  And, we did get away from the booth in those slow times and do some power shopping.  At our hotel the very first day, a gal told us that we would see things at the NWSS that you won't see anywhere else.  I do believe she was correct...and what fun it was!

Denny joined us for the last week end and found that the reports we were calling back home, were indeed true.  He too enjoyed the encouraging words from those who stopped by to see exactly what was "THE BIG BALE BOX".  I want to thank my sisters for their tireless support and help in introducing and presenting the unit to the market place setting in Colorado.  Could not have done it without them!  Thanks girls!

We now need a little rest as we prepare to start running with it all.  Stay tuned here for all of THE BIG BALE BOX news.

Our horses will testify to being very well satisfied with fresh hay each day, no matter the weather conditions.

Feeding goats can be a challenging chore.  However, with The Round Bale Box Larry Stettner finds it easy and well worth the savings he gets with his herd.  See Round Bale Box page.
