Summer Summer greetings to all!
Here we are rolling right through the
2009 summer with July 4th plans getting in place. Here in NE we have been having extremely wet weather which has given
many challenges for the hay producer as well as the consumer.
Finding the hay quality in that first cutting
can be a challenge. Just the same, there are producers who know their hay fields, when to cut and bale to have to highest
level of nutrition in their product. A big thanks to them! Recently visiting with a hay producer, I found that
many hesitate selling hay to horse owners because they find them very picky. I suppose that can be true because we
HAVE to be. Horses are a different type of hay consuming animal and it is very critical that they have high
quality hay. It is not because we are hard to please, we just have to deal with costly effects
from poor quality hay if we are not on top of the quality. So, Mr. Hay Producer, thanks for being aware of our needs
and concerns and going that extra mile in selling your product to us!
And as we all know, hay left out in wet weather
can just be a huge loss in mold and rotten hay. That is where The Big Bale Box
can save you dollars whether you are feeding the round or large square bales. Be sure and consider the best way to feed
your hay in those corrals, pastures, and yards.
Have a safe and great summer!
